धर्म और संस्कृति की दृष्टि से भारत और नेपाल के संबंध प्राचीन काल से ही मधुर चले आ रहे हैं | नेपाल में कम्युनिस्टों द्वारा उग्र आंदोलन ठहरने के कारण मजबूरी में महाराज ज्ञानेंद्र को सत्ता जनता को सौंपने पड़ी | अब नेपाल जनतांत्रिक देश है तथा वहां कम्युनिस्ट प्रभावशाली हो रहे हैं |
