* स्वतंत्रता प्राप्त होने के बाद भारतीय सेना में निम्न महत्वपूर्ण परिवर्तन किए गए |

1. ब्रिटिश ताज का स्थान अशोक जी ने ले लिया |
2. सुरक्षा सेनाओं का सर्वोच्च सेनापति भारत के राष्ट्रपति को बनाया गया |
3. तीनों सेनाओं के अलग-अलग सेनाध्यक्ष नियुक्त किए गए |
4. सेना में भर्ती होने के लिए किसी जाति, धर्म का बंधन समाप्त कर दिया गया |
5. कॉलेज/ स्कूल के छात्रों के लिए एन0सी0सी0 शुरू की गई |
आजादी के बाद भारतीय सेनाओं को निम्न युद्ध करने पड़े |

Following independence, the following important changes were made in the Indian Army.

1. Ashok ji replaced the British crown.
2. The President of India was made the supreme commander of the security forces.
3. Separate chiefs of three armies were appointed.
4. The bond of any caste, religion was abolished to join the army.
5. NCC has been started for college / school students.
After independence, Indian armies had to wage war.
