While the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) is finalizing the preparations for the early conduct of the pending competition examinations, the Staff Selection Commission is also preparing on its own. It is believed that the dates for a dozen exams can be announced in January-February.

Apart from this, the primary preparations for many more examinations related to appointments are in the final stages and the dates will be announced as soon as the preparations are completed. Self-employment is also being given prominence by the government and in a meeting with banks recently, a clear instruction was given from the government that more and more loans should be made available to the people at the local level.

After becoming the chairman of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission, Amitabh Chaudhary, activities have increased rapidly for the early conduct of examinations. At present, the full emphasis of the Commission is on completing the competition examinations pending for years. The JPSC has first fixed the probable dates for the eight competition examinations.

These include Assistant Town Planner (Municipal Development Department), Assistant Director and Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer (Agriculture cum Animal Husbandry Department), Assistant Engineer (Various Works Department), Scientific Officer (Mines and Geology Department) in addition to the Joint Civil Services Backlog Preliminary Examination-2017. , Assistant Engineer (Municipal Development Department), Accounts Officer (Municipal Development Department).

Some of these exams are to be written tests, while some are to be conducted. It is said that preparations are on to complete several other competitive examinations by March next year. Possible dates for these examinations will be set soon. These include appointment of lecturers and other posts in Polytechnic and BIT Sidari, appointment to various posts in Birsa Agricultural University, etc.

In several pending examinations, the concerned departments have already been asked to clarify on some points. Now they are being corresponded again. At the same time, some competition examinations had to be canceled due to an error in the manual. Procedures for these exams can also resume.

University teacher appointment is a priority for JPSC
