The Fed recognized cryptocurrencies as a popular investment vehicle

The Fed published a report on the economic well-being of households for the year 2024. For the first time it included digital assets as an investment instrument. Moreover, the agency recognized their popularity.

According to the report, 29% of crypto investors in the U.S. earned about $50,000 from their portfolio last year. At the same time, 46% earned more than $100,000.

Digital assets were used as an investment vehicle by 11% of Americans. 2% of respondents paid with cryptocurrencies for purchases, and only 1% sent it as a gift to family and friends.
