भारत के प्रथम प्रधानमंत्री पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू के एकलौती संतान इंदिरा “प्रियदर्शनी” का जन्म “आनंद भवन” इलाहाबाद में 19 नवंबर में 17 को हुआ था | इन्होंने अपनी शिक्षा विदेश में तथा गुरुदेव रविंद्र नाथ टैगोर के संरक्षण में शांति निकेतन में पूरी की | इन्होंने 1942 में फिरोज गांधी से विवाह कर राजीव और संजय को जन्म दिया |

Indira Priyadarshini, the only child of India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, was born in “Anand Bhavan” Allahabad on November 19, 17. He completed his education abroad and under the patronage of Gurudev Ravindra Nath Tagore at Santiniketan. He married Feroze Gandhi in 1942 and gave birth to Rajiv and Sanjay.

1938 में कांग्रेस के सक्रिय कार्यकर्ता बनने के बाद 1957 में भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस की चौथी निर्वाचित महिला अध्यक्ष बने | श्री लाल बहादुर शास्त्री मंत्रिमंडल में 1964 में सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्री का पद संभाला | शास्त्री जी की मृत्यु के पश्चात भारत की प्रथम महिला प्रधानमंत्री बनी |19 जनवरी 1966 से 27 मार्च 1967 तक और फिर 14 जनवरी 1980 से 31 अक्टूबर 1984 तक देश की प्रधानमंत्री रहे |

Became the fourth elected woman president of the Indian National Congress in 1957 after becoming an active activist of the Congress in 1938. Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri took the position of Minister of Information and Broadcasting in 1964 in the Cabinet. Became the first woman Prime Minister of India after the death of Shastri ji, from 19 January 1966 to 27 March 1967 and then from 14 January 1980 to 31 October 1984, the Prime Minister of the country.

1969 में कांग्रेस का विघटन कराकर कांग्रेस (आई) नाम से अलग दल बना लिया | 1975 में इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट ने इनका चुनाव अवैध घोषित कर दिया लेकिन सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने इन्हें कुछ राहत दे दी | देशभर में इनके इस्तीफेकी मांग को लेकर उग्र आंदोलन शुरू हो गए, इससे निपटने के लिए इंदिरा गांधी ने 26 जून 1975 को देश में इमरजेंसी का ऐलान कर दिया | पुलिस ने जबरन नसबंदी का कार्यक्रम चलाकर जनता पर बहुत ही जुल्म ढाए | इसके कारण 1977 में कांग्रेस सत्ता से बाहर हो गई |

In 1969, the Congress was disbanded and formed a separate party called Congress (I). In 1975, Allahabad High Court declared their election illegal but the Supreme Court gave them some relief. Furious agitations started around the country demanding his resignation, Indira Gandhi declared Emergency in the country on 26 June 1975 to deal with it. Police forcibly carried out a lot of atrocities on the public by running a program of sterilization. Due to this, the Congress came out of power in 1977.

इंदिरा गांधी पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री बनी |स्वर्ण मंदिर में डेरा डाले भिंडरवाला व उनके समर्थकों को बाहर निकालने के लिए स्वर्ण मंदिर में सेना भेजकर ऑपरेशन ब्लू स्टार की कार्यवाही को इंदिरा गांधी ने अंजाम दिया | इस कार्रवाई से सिख समुदाय में आक्रोश फैल गया | इसका बदला लेने के लिए इनके सिख सुरक्षाकर्मियों ने 31 अक्टूबर 1984 को दिन में इंदिरा गांधी की हत्या कर दी |

Indira Gandhi became the former Prime Minister. Indira Gandhi carried out the operation of Operation Blue Star by sending army to Golden Temple to take out Bhindranwala and his supporters camping in the Golden Temple. This action spread anger among the Sikh community. To avenge this, his Sikh security personnel killed Indira Gandhi on the day of 31 October 1984.

इंदिरा गांधी ने हरित क्रांति को लाकर देश को खदान के अभाव से उबारा |उन्हें बैंकों का राष्ट्रीयकरण करने, राजाओं का प्रिवीपर्स समाप्त करने,पोखरण में पहला विस्फोट कराने, 1971 के भारत-पाक युद्ध में भारत को विजय श्री दिलाने तथा पूर्वी पाकिस्तान को पृथक कर बांग्लादेश के रूप में स्वतंत्र राष्ट्र बनाने का श्रेय प्राप्त है |

Indira Gandhi brought the Green Revolution to the country from the absence of mines. They nationalized banks, abolished the prince of the kings, got the first blast in Pokhran, won India in 1971 Indo-Pak war and separated East Pakistan. Kar is credited with creating an independent nation as Bangladesh.
