The Panamanian government passed a law to regulate digital currencies
Panama’s National Assembly has approved a bill regulating the circulation of cryptocurrencies within the country.
The main points of the document are
- Regulation of trade.
- The use of cryptoassets
- The issuance of digital value
- Tokenization of precious metals and other assets
- Payment systems
Congressman Gabriel Silva stressed that legalizing cryptocurrencies would help Panama become “the center of innovation and technology in Latin America.”
He added that most of the citizens of Panama are not covered by the banking system, but this initiative should rectify the situation.

कांग्रेसी गेब्रियल सिल्वा ने जोर देकर कहा कि क्रिप्टोकरेंसी को वैध बनाने से पनामा को “लैटिन अमेरिका में नवाचार और प्रौद्योगिकी का केंद्र” बनने में मदद मिलेगी।
उन्होंने कहा कि पनामा के अधिकांश नागरिक बैंकिंग प्रणाली से आच्छादित नहीं हैं, लेकिन इस पहल से स्थिति में सुधार होना चाहिए।
